Radio Bogaziçi is central to the part of the university’s culture with their music, programs and activities. Founded in 1992, radio stations was broadcasting only within the neighborhood of the university on 107.9 FM. After 10 years, however, the university was stripped of the FM radio transmitter because it does not have a communications department.

Now, every month, the radio is turned on on 24,000-30,000 individual computers. Ersin Ayli from Radio Bogaziçi said students, professors and graduates include the moderators of the radio programs. “Professional broadcasting with amateur spirit,” were what Ayli used in describing the functioning of Radio Bogaziçi. He noted that Radio Bogaziçi has a brand value, and it holds activities throughout every season. Create an Annual Station Event Involving Artists coming from all Statures: This is one of the best ways to help brand your station. The “10-Man Jam” or station anniversary show will score major points with listeners and may be leveraged into large client buys. Enter Your Station in CMA/ACM Broadcast Awards Competition: Just being nominated gives you bragging rights, especially in competitive situations. Having judged both CMA and ACM awards in the past, I know how prestigious both nominations and wins might be. Plus they are great exercises for your staff to gather materials the sales department will then use.

Get Involved: Volunteer to get on the CRS agenda committee or board of directors. The ACM features a radio committee and board also. Belong to the CMA. Volunteers from all-sized investing arenas are welcome and encouraged to participate. Being involved can help you know where the bodies lie! Being A Member Of An Audience And Sharing The Normal Experience Of Listening Has Long Been Something To Which People Attach Emotional Significance.

Do you remember the 1st time you were a member of an audience? I can’t say that I do. It is an experience so common that it’s tricky to pin down that initial moment. Being an affiliate of an audience and sharing the common experience of listening has often been something to which folks attach emotional importance. Hearing something at the same time as others creates a unique sort of communion : There is something electrifying about a collective gasp, a mass flinch, the prickled hairs on the arms of an entire group. This community of listenershiponce composed from fellows gathered around a fire or contained within a hallexploded in scope with the appearance of broadcast radio in the 1920s, which authorized people in far-flung locations to attach simply thru the activity of concurrent listening.

In recent times , however , a trend toward individualization of the listening experience has appeared, as anyone who has been living in the pale light of an LCD screen has certainly noticed. Pandora, Spotify, Rhapsody, Grooveshark, and other selective broadcast radio stations have promoted a make of radio formed entirely by the preferences of the individual listener. The panelwhich included a producer for Premiere Radio Networks, the assistant general manager of the independent radio station WFMU, the creative technologist for iHeartRadio (a Clear Channel Radio network that aggregates local radio brands), and the host of the Gunz Showelaborated on the express techniques radio is acclimatising to the technology of the 21st century.

Panelists concluded that standard radio’s influence over young listeners is weakening, but they were insistent that speculations on its fading popularity have been exaggerated.
